Confederacy of Civil Servants Trade Unions "SED LEX" was build in the beginning of year 2005, due to the necessity of structuring the civil servants trade unions movement.

"SED LEX" is composed by traditional federations from different areas of activity of the public administration (finance, work and social protection, local administration, statistics).

"SED LEX" has the duty to deal with the different problems that civil servants are facing in their activity.

"SED LEX" Congress established the next 5 years strategy, following 3 major targets:

• the integration in the international trade unions movement; the first step was to affiliate the organisation to the Public Service International and to the European Public Service Union;
• the negotiations with the Government in every problem concerning the civil servants (statute, payment law, rights and protection);
• the organisation of territorial branches of "SED LEX".
